It was a sad day. Thousands died needlessly and so many sacrificed their lives. And those that survived, had to suffer for over 5 years before their economy picked up. Yet this was the one event which the leader of the future superpower nation could not forget.

The year was 1771.
George Washington led his troops in battle and lost against the british troops. Today, I went to visit Brandywine Battle Site. It was one of the main sites of battle during the war of independence. The lost of the battle in 1771 was forever a burden on GW that he would usually avoid the subject or cease interviews if it moved into that subject. It was also the point in time when he could have been shot dead by the opposite side. Or the fate of the Fergerseon Rifle could have changed the course of the war for the british.
