Finally, the speed got vamped up to the ADSL2 bracket. I can’t seem to figure out why it isn’t up to the 24Mbits/s. I know about the distance from exchange story. But a part of me is wondering whether it could be the modem. I did remember upgrading it to the newer firmware. Maybe I better check on that. Still, its good to have up to 6Mbits/s rather than the 1Mbits/s. The speed improvement can be most seen when connected via ethernet rather than the wireless systems.

Overall, I am still puzzled why Amnet quickly gave the port. Did they have the option to do it the whole time, but were just screwing with their customers? I am unsure and just hope they don’t let me catch them doing it again.
