Sentosa. Once the island named to describe death from behind is now being made over drastically. The opening up of the island began several years ago with the causeway and now witht he new monorail/LRT system, things on Sentosa is changing rapidly.
The assimilation of the once sleepy touristy island is now a place aimed to be the centre of life, entertainment and fun. I took the monorail into sentosa from Vivocity and travelled to the end of the line at the beach. I was expecting it to be like the old monorail which travelled around the island. Since the trains are fully air-con, one can no longer look out of the window and wave happily to people walking below the monorail tracks. Instead all monorail station employees wave half heartedly at all trains passing through the station. How fake is that!
This photo sums up the fun people can have in close proximity to polluting and industrial ships anchored out in the shallow waters of keppel bay. We can boost how one can swim with the ships unlike other places which only offers swimming with the fishes/dolphins.
